The very clever blog Kingdom of Style run by Queen Michelle and Queen Marie, had a couple of posts about Brittique.com. The first post was about their mixed view on our ankle boots by Gil Carvalho, Finsk and Camillla Staerk. The second post was a general one about Brittique. Thanks girls for checking in!

Camilla Staerk on Grazia's Most Wanted
No sooner had Grazia published their Most Wanted list yesterday featuring the red Camilla Staerk ankle boots, when we sold out of all but the size 5 (hmm that's my size, maybe it's a sign?). But we can still order them in and have them ready for delivery in 3-5 weeks. Hurrah!

Inspirational women
It was great to see two successful women feature on The Daily Telegraph's 40 most successful before 40. Both Tamara Mellon of Jimmy Choo and Chrissie Rucker of The White Company featured and are worth an estimated £58m and £76m respectively.
Both women always appear so cool calm and collected, what I'd really like to hear is the stories of the trials and tribulations leading up to their success. What about the near failures? Sleepless nights? 18hour plus days? But stories like this, true as they are, might scare off too many women, and we need more female entrepreneurs!
Congratulations!!

Have a Lavish Christmas and a Dazzling New Year!
The festive season is upon us and with it comes the perfect opportunity for magnificence and luxury. The opulent style of this season is an eclectic mix of glam rock, baroque extravagance and disco diva. However, the trend for affluent and elaborate fashion has so far not been entirely practical; the glitz, gold, glamorous and sumptuous fabrics have been for the daring only. New Year, and of course Christmas, bring parties that evoke a deep need within all women; the basic and fundamental requirement to be the belle of the ball.
To achieve this we can go to great lengths, spending hours making our hair perfect, getting manicures, finding the ideal shoes, and applying make-up with dedicated precision. There is one prerequisite necessary for turning every head in the room, if it is not perfect the whole plan could fall apart… the dress. The less intrepid of us now have an excuse to lose our inhibitions and step out in beautiful, extraordinary and outstanding gowns; it is a special time of year after all!
Feel exclusive in the Delilah dress from Julia Clancey, offering a feminine take on the trend it is for those who aspire to look like a Grecian goddess. If patterns aren’t your style then why not try the glittering empire dress from Nicola de Main, a bewitching gold to dazzle admirers. Want to be more subtle with the opulence trend? Sneak a peek at the corsetry from Nocco, perfect for adding a touch of individuality and sensuality to your party outfit. ‘Tis the season to be exceptional so find a way to make your mark; be striking this season.

Woolenstocks are so cute!
Designed by Woolenstocks, each pair is handmade by villagers in the Himalayas. They are made from 100% wool felt and hand embroided with beautiful designs. There's a mens, womens and childrens range. I hear that Claudia Schiffer is a big fan. If it's good enough for her!

Amanda Wakeley & Osman Yousefzada auto sponsorship in Vogue
When I was told by the people at both Amanda Wakeley and Osman Yousefzada that they were being sponsored by Aston Martin and Saab, respectively, I was intrigued. What would a car company want with designers? But after reading this article in the January UK edition of Vogue I can see how there are some synergies. Women do make many of the household decisions and powerful cars are well, powerful!
Will it influence my car buying decision? Hmm probably not, I'm a Porsche girl!
Tamara Mellon wears Amanda Wakeley
Tamara Mellon founder of Jimmy Choo is pictured here in Friday's ES magazine wearing a gown from Amanda Wakeley's cruise collection. It's so great to see more people realise how beautiful Amanda Wakeley's dresses are! I just love her beaded evening gowns, just wish I had somewhere to wear them...

Osman takes it to the next stage - Vogue.com
I met Dolly Jones, editor of Vogue.com, yesterday actually at a Fashion Business Club meeting. We briefly spoke about Osman Yousefzada and how he would soon be available online at Brittique.com. Dolly is also a big fans, and Osman is a top guy too. I'm so excited to be working with him from SS07.
